As a young man Bob Baldock traveled to Cuba during the early stages of that nation’s revolution. Posing as a journalist he made the extremely dangerous journey to the Sierra Sierra Maestra, hoping to meet up with the rebels. Once the Cuban revolutionaries were confident they were not spies for the Batista dictatorship, Bob and his colleague were secretly led to one of the guerilla camps. In time they met the leader of the growing rebellion — a young revolutionary named Fidel Castro.

Bob’s autobiographical novel WIld Green Oranges takes readers on that incredible journey, one told in vivid prose.
